Hundreds of police search for FPI members

04 June 2008 - Hundreds of police have gathered at the location of the office of FPI in central Jakarta earlier this morning. Just after six in the morning local time dozens of trucks showed up in Jalan Petamburan Raya. Local residents reported that dozens of trucks rolled in the streets just after dawn.
Just after the police arrived they started the search for the ten members that are seen a suspects in the case of the attack at the National Monument three days ago. The main street near the office of FPI was closed around half past six in the morning. The police first organized themselves a few streets away before making clear they are searching for the ten.
The police were welcomed by hundreds of members of FPI which were in the small street before the police already. While the police tried to get in, they started shouting. “Allahu akbar.. Allahu akbar!”.
