Prosecutors seek life sentences for alleged JI leaders

JAKARTA Indonesian prosecutors have called for life sentences for two alleged former Jemaah Islamiah top commanders. Dujana and Zarkasih are both accused of being key players in terrorist attacks across Indonesia. Abu Dujana allegedly had a hand in the 2002 Bali bombings and the 2004 attack on the Australian embassy.

Indonesia tries to ban web porn

JAKARTA  The Indonesian government has passed a law banning the viewing or production of “immoral content” on the internet. The new law is one of the most strict in the world and will come into force on 29 March. Anyone found guilty of breaking the law faces six years in prison and a fine equivalent to $109,000.
