Ten teenagers die during concert in Bandung

BANDUNG Ten teenagers have died during a concert of the band Beside, which was held to celebrate the launch of their new album. The concert was held in the Asia Afrika Culture Center in Bandung, western Java on Saturday evening. Until Sunday morning, the ten casualties are still in the Hasan Sadikin hospital in Bandung for autopsy. Eight of the victims have been identified by the hospital, two remain unidentified for now.

The disaster happened because of building limitations, which was not supposed to hold such a big amount of people. This caused some fighting between visitors, which were fighting over going in and going out from the building where the concert was given.

At this moment the city police of Bandung is doing investigations to the cause of the death of the ten teenagers. The building has been marked with police lines just after the incidents occurred. Dozens of people, staff and visitors, have already been interrogated by the police.

JAKARTA Two economy class electrical trains with air conditioning (KRL) will be put in service from tomorrow, as was informed by the Jabotabek devision of the Indonesian state-run railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia. Both trains will ply the route between Bogor and Jakarta in both directions.

Head of the train station in Bogor, Yuherman, told that the ‘KRL Ekonomi AC’ will depart two times a day from the station of Bogor; at 05:44 and 09:26 local time, with as destination the station of Jakartakota. From that station the train would depart at 07:29 and 11:11 for it’s destination of Bogor. “The facilities of the KRL Ekonomi AC are the same as the KRL Ekspres, but this one will stop at every station like the KRL Ekonomi without air conditioning. The price of a ticket will be 6.000 Rupiah, just half of the KRL Ekspres ticket-price,” said Yuherman.

He also told that the new KRL Ekonomi AC was put to service to improve service for customers which need better facilities than the KRL Ekonomi, but there is an understanding that the passengers still have limited economical boundaries.
