Timor Purchase Cancellation Must be Through Court

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Efforts to cancel the contract of PT Timor Putra Nasional’s debt purchase between the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) and PT Vista Bella Pratama must be carried out through trial process, not arbitration.

“This is because it often happens that a party doesn’t execute the arbitration decision,” said Emerson Juntho, Coordinator of Indonesia Corruption Watch’ Legal and Justice Monitoring Team Head.

Tornadoes Threaten Jakarta Up Until January

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) has warned about tornadoes and strong winds that will probably hit the capital city up until early next year.

“The (tornado) potential is evenly distributed. Resident should be alert,” said Soekamto, BMG’s Head of Climate and Agriclimate Information, via telephone, yesterday (25/12).

However, BMG was not certain of the exact location of these winds that often cause destruction.
